"The aromas of blackberries, black olives and hints of tobacco and dried fruit are fascinating and enticing. It's medium to full-bodied with creamy and polished tannins and a savory finish. Turns refinded and focused after the layered fruit. Classic in character, with a caressing texture and balance. Hints of ripe fruit and freshness at the same time." - 12 on Order  - Antonio Galloni

The wine is pure silky, elegance in texture. This is perhaps the most sensuous vintage of Lafite ever produced with its dream texture on the palate. In the mid-palate, the wine shifts from black to red to black fruits before moving to its wave of orange citrus, ending with refreshing mint notes. The purity in the fruits is striking. The over 60-second finish is seamless, which is a good thing, because this wine is so good, you never want it to end. The wine is complete from start to finish." – 8 - 100 Point Perfect Scores!!! "Lafite-Rothschild was cropped at 27 hl/ha between September 2 and 20. Eric Kohler mentioned that, unlike 2022, it underwent a longer maceration than usual becuase, after 24 days. he felt the wine was at ease with itself and there was no excess. That comes through completely on the deliriously intoxicating nose, replete with nuanced blackberry, bilberry and estuarine scents, all beautifully defined and seamlessly integrated with 900% new oak that is nade from Lafite's own cooper. The palate is medium-bodied with finely chiselled tannins. It is blessed with extraordinary harmony and it is so well balanced that you almost overlook the weight and mineralite towards the finish. Just a dab of graohite lingers on the aftertaste. This is very succinct and refinded Lafite-Rothschild that I suspect will drink earlier than the 2022, yet will age with equal grace in the bottle. I admit that, upon returning to my car, it wa only then I realized what a brilliant wine the 2025 Lafite-Rothschild is destinned to become ." - 36 on Order  - Neal Martin

"Merlot-heavy blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, the 2025 Chateau Larcis Ducasse sports a dense purple hue as well as incredible aromatics of ripe currant and black cherry fruit intermixed with smokey tobacco, graphite, and crushed stone. Aged in a mix of 225-liter barriques (45%), 500-liter demi-muids (40%), and foudres (15%), it checks in at a 13.8% alcohol with a pH of 3.5. Deep, rich, and full-bodied on the palate, it has a broad, layered mouthfeel, ripe, velvety tannins, and a great finish. It might end up being in the top handful of wines in the vintage." - 12 on Order  - Jeb Dunnuck

With elegance, power, firmness, and silkiness, the wine on the palate immediately cuts a wide swatch across your palate. All that regal, ripe, sweet, fruit and crushed gravel stick with you almost seamlessly for more than 50 seconds until you reach the endnote with salty, mineral-driven kick in the endnote. This is a fabulous Latour that will age for decades." – Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider - Tasted: July 2022

"It features notes of violets and black winter truffle. The structure is seamless, showcasing an excellent mid-palate with vibrancy, refinement, sophisticated touch, and remarkable aftertaste. It is just as captivating as it was when sampled from the barrel. The texture is reminiscent of liquid cashmere." – Izak Litwar - Great Wines from Bordeaux - Tasted: Oct. 2024

"A Cabernet dominant blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, and 2% Cabernet Franc, the 2025 Chateau Leoville Barton checks in at 13.5% alcohol with a pH of 3.6. Creme de cassis, smoked tobacco, liquid violets, iron, and an incredible sense of graphite all define the aromatics of this brilliant, deep, pure, and layered beauty. On the palate, it's full-bodied, inward, and powerfully structured, and reminds me slightly on the 2010 with its deep concentrated style. It has enormous potential." - 24 on Order  - Jeb Dunnuck

Next, it it’s the perfume with its black, blue, and red fruits, incense, curry, flowers, smoke and herbs. Opulent, restrained, elegant and powerful, the wine comes in layers. You can sense the array of exotic spices, mint, blue and black fruits, crushed rocks, black cherries and white pepper on the palate. Full-bodied and dense, the wine somehow remains light on its feet. The end notes, meshing elegance and power bring everything together, as the finish crosses the 60 second mark. This is perhaps even better than the perfect, 2016!" – Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider - Tasted: May 2023
