Layered and complex, showing good finesse and well-judged ripeness from this vintage. On the palate, it is full, juicy and structured, with firm, mealy tannins and an extensive finish. A year where this Alto managed to show good drinkability. Quite refined from a more challengingly dry and warm vintage with a touch of Bordeaux bearing. 80% malbec, of which 56% comes from Las Compuertas of Lujan de Cuyo and 24% from Campo de los Andes of Uco. 20% cabernet sauvignon from El Cepillo of Uco. "A magical, utterly profound wine in the making, the 2025 Château Montrose is a classic blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot, and 4% Cabernet Franc that will spend 18 months in 60% new French oak, with 12% press wine included in the final blend. Pure cassis, graphite, liquid violets, and spicy wood define the aromatics, and it's sensationally pure on the palate, with full-bodied richness, beautiful concentration, ripe, polished tannins, incredible class, and a great finish. "Highest Cabernet Sauvignon on record (since 94% for the 2010 vintage), stately and reserved at first, then totally joyful. The right austerity, coupled with squid ink character and fabulous hidden depths that are going to take their time to fully unroll, with the incense of the oak coming through only after a good 10 minutes in the glass, you barely perceive it on the first tasting. What a beautiful Mouton, great stuff from wine director Jean-Philippe Danjoy. 52% Grand Vin, basically pure old vine Cabernet, and an interesting side note - in September there was no weekend picking, a clear indication that there was no stress about the harvest dates." * Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux -

"A Cabernet dominant blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, and 2% Cabernet Franc, the 2025 Chateau Leoville Barton checks in at 13.5% alcohol with a pH of 3.6. Creme de cassis, smoked tobacco, liquid violets, iron, and an incredible sense of graphite all define the aromatics of this brilliant, deep, pure, and layered beauty. "Lafite-Rothschild was cropped at 27 hl/ha between September 2 and 20. Eric Kohler mentioned that, unlike 2022, it underwent a longer maceration than usual becuase, after 24 days. he felt the wine was at ease with itself and there was no excess. That comes through completely on the deliriously intoxicating nose, replete with nuanced blackberry, bilberry and estuarine scents, all beautifully defined and seamlessly integrated with 900% new oak that is made from Lafite's own cooper. The palate is medium-bodied with finely chiselled tannins. It is blessed with extraordinary harmony and it is so well balanced that you almost overlook the weight and mineralite towards the finish. Just a dab of graohite lingers on the aftertaste. This is very succinct and refinded Lafite-Rothschild that I suspect will drink earlier than the 2022, yet will age with equal grace in the bottle. I admit that, upon returning to my car, it wa only then I realized what a brilliant wine the 2025 Lafite-Rothschild is destinned to become ." * Neal Martin
