"A magical, utterly profound wine in the making, the 2025 Château Montrose is a classic blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot, and 4% Cabernet Franc that will spend 18 months in 60% new French oak, with 12% press wine included in the final blend. Pure cassis, graphite, liquid violets, and spicy wood define the aromatics, and it's sensationally pure on the palate, with full-bodied richness, beautiful concentration, ripe, polished tannins, incredible class, and a great finish. It reminds me of the 2016 with its finesse... and maybe there's a touch of 1996 here as well."  * Jeb Dunnick

The 2025 Haut-Brion is, as usual, more reserved and austere at this stage than La Mission, unwinding in the glass to reveal notions of dark wild berries mingled with spices, pencil leaf and licorice. Medium- to full-bodied, dense and layered, it’s built around a multidimensional core of fruit framed by structuring yet well-integrated tannins, delivering a notably controlled expression of power and concluding with a long, perfumed, subtly ethereal finish. While still tightly knit at this stage, it possesses considerable depth—IPT (an alaytical measure of tannic concentration) levels exceeding 100, rarely observed—that is perfectly controlled and will require extended cellaring. Recent refinements in the estate’s approach, notably in viticulture, are translating into fruit of greater balance and freshness, even under the warm, dry conditions of 2025. It stands as one of the more impressive renditions of Haut-Brion in recent years." * Yohan Castaing, Wine Advocate

"The precision is so seductive and intellectual, with aromas of fresh flowers, iron, graphite, cedar, blood oranges and black fruit. It's medium-bodied with a compact palate of intense tannins that melt into the wine. Rather weightless in nature. It kicks in at the end with incredible intensity and focus."

"Highest Cabernet Sauvignon on record (since 94% for the 2010 vintage), stately and reserved at first, then totally joyful. The right austerity, coupled with squid ink character and fabulous hidden depths that are going to take their time to fully unroll, with the incense of the oak coming through only after a good 10 minutes in the glass, you barely perceive it on the first tasting. What a beautiful Mouton, great stuff from wine director Jean-Philippe Danjoy. 52% Grand Vin, basically pure old vine Cabernet, and an interesting side note - in September there was no weekend picking, a clear indication that there was no stress about the harvest dates."  * Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux

"A Cabernet dominant blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, and 2% Cabernet Franc, the 2025 Chateau Leoville Barton checks in at 13.5% alcohol with a pH of 3.6. Creme de cassis, smoked tobacco, liquid violets, iron, and an incredible sense of graphite all define the aromatics of this brilliant, deep, pure, and layered beauty. On the palate, it's full-bodied, inward, and powerfully structured, and reminds me slightly on the 2010 with its deep concentrated style. It has enormous potential." * Jeb Dunnuck

"Lafite-Rothschild was cropped at 27 hl/ha between September 2 and 20. Eric Kohler mentioned that, unlike 2022, it underwent a longer maceration than usual becuase, after 24 days. he felt the wine was at ease with itself and there was no excess. That comes through completely on the deliriously intoxicating nose, replete with nuanced blackberry, bilberry and estuarine scents, all beautifully defined and seamlessly integrated with 900% new oak that is made from Lafite's own cooper. The palate is medium-bodied with finely chiselled tannins. It is blessed with extraordinary harmony and it is so well balanced that you almost overlook the weight and mineralite towards the finish. Just a dab of graohite lingers on the aftertaste. This is very succinct and refinded Lafite-Rothschild that I suspect will drink earlier than the 2022, yet will age with equal grace in the bottle. I admit that, upon returning to my car, it wa only then I realized what a brilliant wine the 2025 Lafite-Rothschild is destinned to become ." * Neal Martin

While there’s certainly California luster and opulence in the margins, both are tucked away right now, overshadowed by lush pear, lime leaf and orange blossom. The minerality and tension on the palate are simply awesome and the acidity is bright and racy. Wines from these vintages tend to mature slightly more slowly than their warm-vintage cousins, so expect the parade of citrus, green apple and flinty minerals to dominate for the next few years. That said, the mouthfeel is just gorgeous with more gravitas and weight than expected at this time; a very pleasant surprise." "Chateau Montelena’s Napa Valley Chardonnay combines the best of the old world: structure, acidity and grace with modern ripeness and texture. It eschews heavy oak and butter and instead showcases the purity of vintage, vineyard and varietal character. Most notably, the 1973 vintage earned international acclaim when it was named the top Chardonnay at the 1976 “Judgment of Paris”, a historic moment that redefined the global perception of American wine and solidified Chateau Montelena’s legacy on the world stage." * Winery Notes

So fleshy and intense. Dark-chocolate and cocoa-powder aromas and flavors here, too. The tannins are polished and long, extruding deep into the finish and holding endlessly. Inky, dark in color, the wine pops from the glass with its blackberries, black cherries, licorice, chocolate, smoke, cassis, and vanilla beans. Rich, concentrated, opulent, and intense, the wine coats your palate, teeth, and gums with waves of lusciously textured, dark fruits that linger. The wine is produced from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, coming from a parcel selection of the estate's oldest vines. With all of its ripe, round fruits, it can be enjoyed in its youth, or you can age it for additional complexities and softness. * Jeff Leve - Tasted: April 2025

It is made from 100% cabernet sauvignon from the oldest vines on the property, planted in 1978. Initially more fruit-driven than floral, notes of honeysuckle and spice soften into green apple and vanilla. The palate reveals lemon curd and ripe orange, with lively tension between supple stone fruit and bright acidity, supported by a billowy texture, subtle minerality, and a whisper of fresh-baked bread. The finish is bright and fresh, with apricot and orange marmalade accented by toasted almond and clove. *Jonathan Christaldi - Tasted: March 2026
