  • Drinking Window: 2022 - 2028 Size: 750mL Critic Scores: 94 WI Region: Tuscany ABV: 13.5% "On the nose, it opens with a complex bouquet. Intertwining notes of yellow flowers and aromatic herbs. Ripe pineapple aromas are also perceptible, adding a fruity sweetness, accompanied by delicate hints of green almond and chamomile, which introduce a floral and slightly spiced dimension. On the palate, the wine reveals a taut and well-structured taste, with a prominent citrus freshness and a salty finish that refreshes the palate.  " – Winery Notes

The palate opens with a sublime purity of fruit, silky tannins, and zesty acidity, so you will find energy, meshed with concentration and elegance. The long, seamless finish is cpmplicated by accents of pepper riding alongside the seamless layers of fresh, clean fruits." - Jeff Leve

"A high-definition wine. Wow. The aromas are incredible, with roses, strawberries and crushed stones. So perfumed. It’s the magic of perfectly ripe cabernet franc. Medium-bodied with ultra-fine tannins and a firm and silky finish. Sublime length and mouthfeel. Cool, subtle, sophisticated and stunning. So much definition." - James Suckling

On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, with a focused, elegant mouthfeel, beautiful concentration and depth, integrated acidity, and a great finish. Hitting 13.5% alcohol, it's a brilliant success in the vintage and should be snatched up by readers."  - Jeb Dunnuck

"The 2025 Canon is a total stunner. Deep and sumptuous in the glass, it offers tons of the vintage's textural intensity along with all the vibrant, saline energy that is such a signature here. Dark-fleshed fruit, mocha, new leather, herbs and dried flowers build gradually in the glass, leading to a huge, dramatic finish laced with hints of blood orange, pomegranate and chalk. The interplay of finesse and power is dazzling. Tasted two times." - Antonio Galloni, Vinous

"The 2025 Chateau Cheval Blanc stands out once again as among the finest wines of the vintage in Bordeaux. Wafting from the glass with a deep bouquet of dark berries and cherries mingled with notions of blood orange and iris, it's full-bodied, layered and concentrated, with terrific mid-palate density, sweet tannins and a long, vibrant, violet-inflected finish. With its striking aromas, intensity of flavor and resolutely classical proportions (checking in at 12.7% alcohol and pH of 3.76), the 2025 gives every indication of being one of the great Cheval Blanc's of the decade." - William Kelley

"The 2025 Clinet was the earliest picking ever, from September 4, and aged in 60% new oak plus 40% one-year-old barrels. Vintages now have a little more Cabernet Sauvignon, as a hectare of Merlot was uprooted. Now this has a delightful nose, perhaps the most elegant and refined that I have encountered at this stage: vivid red cherry, raspberry and wild strawberry scents, neatly embroidered oak, more floral in style. The palate is medium-bodied with chiselled, fine tannins, bright and tensile, exquisite focus, with a peacock's tail on the finish. Quite crystalline on the finish, this is a Clinet that I would like in my cellar. Or at the dinner table. Or in my glass." - Neal Martin, Vinous

"Cassis, currants, smokey tobacco, chocolate, and graphite all define the 2025 Chateau Clos D'Estournel, a powerful, ripe, concentrated beauty based on 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Merlot, and 1% Petit Verdot that's still resting in 50% new barrels. On the palate, it's full-bodied, with a pure, layered mouthfeel, intergrated oak, and a great finish. It stays lively, balanced, and remarkbly fresh despite its weight and richness, and I'd happily put this up with the creme de la creme of the vintage." - Jeb Dunnuck

"Incredible wine with electrifying acidity and great depth and concentration. It's full-bodied and full of character, showing fresh and dried citrus then honeysuckle and other white flowers. The palate takes off with bright, intense acidity. A pH of just over 3 gives a unique combination of tangy acidity and ripe fruit. A Special White! 56% sauvignon blanc and 44% semillon. BEST EVER?."   - James Suckling
