With elegance, power, firmness, and silkiness, the wine on the palate immediately cuts a wide swatch across your palate. All that regal, ripe, sweet, fruit and crushed gravel stick with you almost seamlessly for more than 50 seconds until you reach the endnote with salty, mineral-driven kick in the endnote. This is a fabulous Latour that will age for decades." * Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider - Tasted: July 2022

  • Drinking Window: 2026 - 2065 Size: 750mL Critic Scores: 100 JL, 100 JA Region: Pomerol ABV: 14.9% "The last vintage produced by Pomerol legend, Denis Durantou, (who sadly passed away may 2020), is one of his best. A testament to his devotion to his vineyards, the wine explodes with a gorgeous set of aromatics packed with flowers, chocolate, truffle, plums, black cherries, and wet earth. But it is on the palate where the magic takes place. Incredibly concentrated, rich, ostentations, silky and vibrant, the wine offers incredible purity to the fruit, which is a good thing because the finish is not something you want to loose sight of, as its showy display of chocolate-tinged, dark red fruits, licorice, spice, and black cherries lingers builds and expands. Built to age and evolve, give it some time in the cellar and enjoy it for 3 decades with ease. This is exactly the type of wine Denis Durantou truly loved making, Owners of the beauty should toast him and his years of work at L'Eglise Clinet." * Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider - Tasted: March 2022
  • Drinking Window: 2028 - 2082 Size: 750mL Critic Scores: 100 WI Region: Australia ABV: 14.5% "A robust Grange from a lauded vintage, this wields sheer power with such compelling prowess. Uncompromising Grange. There are rich blackberries and plums on offer, together with brazen oak and abundant notes of blackcurrants, black cherries, charcoal, cola and hard brown spices. So fleshy and intense. Dark-chocolate and cocoa-powder aromas and flavors here, too. The tannins are polished and long, extruding deep into the finish and holding endlessly. Dark chocolate, black cherry, dark plum and more. Impressive. Brazen. One of the great Granges that will drink magnificently for decades to come." * James Suckling - Tasted: June 2022

Initially more fruit-driven than floral, notes of honeysuckle and spice soften into green apple and vanilla. The palate reveals lemon curd and ripe orange, with lively tension between supple stone fruit and bright acidity, supported by a billowy texture, subtle minerality, and a whisper of fresh-baked bread. The finish is bright and fresh, with apricot and orange marmalade accented by toasted almond and clove. *Jonathan Christaldi - Tasted: March 2026
  • Drinking Window: 2025 - 2034 Size: 750mL Critic Scores: 93 Decanter Region: Ribera del Duero ABV: 14 - 14.6% "Quite a powerful and nicely chewy wine that manages to maintain its balance, which shows the power and potential of Ribera del Duero. Ripe but fresh blackberries, dark minerals and sweet spices with a balsamic touch. Masses of tannins delivered in a chalky, tense form. Long and still quite youthful. Certainly ambitious and structural. Drink from 2025."                                              * James Suckling - Tasted: Nov. 2024     "A brooding and chewy Ribera del Duero with coffee, baked black cherries and blackberries on the nose. Full-bodied, powerful and extracted, with chewy tannins and a tight, flavorful finish. Try from 2026." - James Suckling - Tasted: Nov. 2024

Each facet combines to provide a harmonic balance of freshness and energy. Deep impactful color and floral on the nose, elegant black fruit, smoke and wet stone are delicately woven alongside a sophisticated acidity across the palate. The density of fruit provides generous weight that leads to balanced tannin and a distinguished, vibrant finish." * Winery Notes

"The 2016 Cardinale Red Wine is a thrilling blend of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Merlot crafted by superstar winemaker, Chris Carpenter. the wine was aged in 100% French oak (93% new) for twenty months before bottling. The stunning aromatics almost catch you off guard. Deep aromatics of creme de cassis, graphite, creosote, and blackberry compote all come together seamlessly in the glass. The freshness and intensity of wine is gorgeous, as the silky mouthfeel makes the wine effortlessly glide across the mid-palate. Deep dark fruits collide with chocolate covered espresso bean, tar and anise flavors all marvelously sing in unison on the palate. A truly stunning heavy hitter of a wine, the 2016 Cardinale Red Wine will be very long-lived." * Owen Bargreen - Tasted: Feb 2020

The purity of fruit here is off the charts. The wine is all about silk and velvet textures from that point forward. The finish is so expansive, it feels like it keeps on going, moving across an array of flavors long after you've put the wine where it is supposed to go. This is the best wine yet produced by Jean Phiippe Delmas yet. Bravo!" - Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider - Tasted: May 2018
