"It features notes of violets and black winter truffle. The structure is seamless, showcasing an excellent mid-palate with vibrancy, refinement, sophisticated touch, and remarkable aftertaste. It is just as captivating as it was when sampled from the barrel. The texture is reminiscent of liquid cashmere."

The wine is pure silky, elegance in texture. This is perhaps the most sensuous vintage of Lafite ever produced with its dream texture on the palate. In the mid-palate, the wine shifts from black to red to black fruits before moving to its wave of orange citrus, ending with refreshing mint notes. The purity in the fruits is striking. The over 60-second finish is seamless, which is a good thing, because this wine is so good, you never want it to end. The wine is complete from start to finish." – 8 - 100 Point Perfect Scores!!! With elegance, power, firmness, and silkiness, the wine on the palate immediately cuts a wide swatch across your palate. All that regal, ripe, sweet, fruit and crushed gravel stick with you almost seamlessly for more than 50 seconds until you reach the endnote with salty, mineral-driven kick in the endnote. This is a fabulous Latour that will age for decades." – Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider - Tasted: July 2022

Drinking Window: 2021 - 2050 Size: 1500mL Critic Scores: 98 JA, 97 RP, 97 OB Region: Napa Valley ABV: 14.5%"The 2016 Cardinale Red Wine is a thrilling blend of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Merlot crafted by superstar winemaker, Chris Carpenter. the wine was aged in 100% French oak (93% new) for twenty months before bottling. The stunning aromatics almost catch you off guard. Deep aromatics of creme de cassis, graphite, creosote, and blackberry compote all come together seamlessly in the glass. The freshness and intensity of wine is gorgeous, as the silky mouthfeel makes the wine effortlessly glide across the mid-palate. Deep dark fruits collide with chocolate covered espresso bean, tar and anise flavors all marvelously sing in unison on the palate. A truly stunning heavy hitter of a wine, the 2016 Cardinale Red Wine will be very long-lived." – Owen Bargreen - Tasted: Feb 2020

Veeder boasts abundant aromas of blueberry pie, ink, violets, burning embers, and camphor. The staggeringly intense, provocatively complex aromatics are followed by a full-bodied wine with exquisite concentration as well as a stunningly pure texture. One of the most prodigious 2007 Cabernets I tasted, it should provide magical drinking in 5-6 years, and last for three decades or more." – Robert Parker - Tasted: Dec. 2009

The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Mount Veeder offers up fabulous spice notes, ranging from cinnamon and clove to anise and sage, all layered atop a dark-fruited base of black cherries and cassis. Full-bodied, concentrated and rich, yet silky smooth, this is tannic but ripe and polished, balanced and long on the finish. Maybe the strongest of the Lokoya bottlings this year?" – Joe Czerwinski - Wine Advocate - Tasted: Oct. 2025
