Less grip than in cooler vintages, as you would expect, but this has been well handled, with an attractive savory edge, and a bitter fennel character that helps give focus and length." – Jane Anson - Inside Bordeaux - Tasted: Jan. 2025
  • Drinking Window: 2025 - 2050 Size: 750mL Critic Scores: 98 RP Region: Mount Veeder ABV: 14.9% "The Jackson family purchased the Veeder Peak property in 1994, from which the fruit for this Lokoya bottling comes. The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Mount Veeder offers up fabulous spice notes, ranging from cinnamon and clove to anise and sage, all layered atop a dark-fruited base of black cherries and cassis. Full-bodied, concentrated and rich, yet silky smooth, this is tannic but ripe and polished, balanced and long on the finish. Maybe the strongest of the Lokoya bottlings this year?" – Joe Czerwinski - Wine Advocate - Tasted: Oct. 2025
  • Drinking Window: 2025 - 2050 Size: 750mL Critic Scores: 99 JA, 98 Falstaff, 98 VV Region: Bolgheri ABV: 14.5% "A dark ruby red colour. Quite a memorable nose, lots of juicy fruit, especially cassis and blueberry, with some smokey notes in the background. Fresh and surprisingly juicy on the palate, grippy, with very well- integrated tannins, good tension, lingers well, a bottle that you simply love to empty!" – Falstaff - Tasted: Oct.2022

"A selection of the estate's best lots and barrels, Plumpjack's 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve spent 19 months in 93% new French oak, yet it seems brighter and fresher than the regular bottling. Cassis leads the way, accented by vanilla and streusel highlights, while the full-bodied palate is expansive, supple and creamy textured, then long and silky on the finish. It's a really strong effort, with ample richness yet no excess weight and a flowing, elegant feel on the palate. Sampled under screw cap." - Joe Czerwinski - Tasted: Feb 27, 2025
  • Drinking Window: 2033 - 2043 Size: 750mL Critic Scores: 94 - 96 JM Region: Morey - St - Denis - Monts ABV: 13.5 - 14% "No malolactic fermentation so far at all, not sulphured, and will probably therefore get to the bottle without Malo taking place. In which case, the Monts Luisants will be filtered for security. Pure and clean colour, with a particularly complex bouquet, some lime blossom, some greengage, and some earthier notes. White fruit on the palate, with a crisp mineral thread, liverly at the finish, indeed a superb finish. I would keep it like this, so let's hope the Malo does not happen. Fuller bodied than the excellent 2021, but just as good." – Jasper Morris - Inside Bordeaux - Tasted: Nov. 2023
  • Drinking Window: 2030 - 2050 Size: 750mL Critic Scores: 98 VWM. 98 RV, 98 OC, 98 GL Region: Bolgheri ABV: 13.5% "The 2022 Sassicaia is a particularly impressive achievement. In a vintage characterized by significant heat and drought, Tenuta San Guido has once again proven why this estate is in a league of its own. This is a triumph of terroir and timing, delivering a wine of aristocratic elegance and surprising freshness that defies the season. While many 2022's from Bolgheri are opulent and broad, Sassicaia remains steadfastly classic. The estate's decisions to harvest early to preserve acidity has paid off distinctively. The nose is deep and introspective, offering a sophisticated blend of creme de cassis, wild blackberry, and dark plum, lifted by signature notes of Mediterranean herbs, cedar, graphite, and a touch of fresh mint. It possesses a dense core of fruit, yet it feels weightless and energetic, driven by a vibrant spine of acidity. The tannins are incredibly fine-grained and polished, providing a seamless structure that guides the wine to an exceptionally long, savory finish."  - Orazio Campoli

"Deep and Shiny red. An explosive nose of strawberries and raspberries melted. A touch of pink pepper exalts aromas. The mouth is open to very fresh energy carried on by a discreet acidity. Silkiness is present, but in its youngest stage and a few years will help tannins already supple to express more richness. " - Winery Notes
  • Drinking Window: 2024 - 2028 Size: 750mL Critic Scores: 92 WE Region: Sancerre ABV: 12.5 - 13.5% This wine displays beautiful aromatic intensity, beginning with delicate floral notes of small white flowers and blackcurrants, followed by powerful mineral aromas of pebbles and gunpowder. The bouquet is elegant, complex, and expressive of the richness of this exceptional terroir. On the palate, the wine is round and supple, with a subtle tanginess. Intense aromatic flavors on a fleshy, mineral-driven structure enhance its complexity, leading to a long, harmonious finish with both exotic and citrus fruit notes. – Winery Notes

The palate is full-bodied with finely integrated tannins, balanced acidity and a plush, layered mouthfeel with a silken, refined feel. A blend of 76% cabernet sauvignon, 16% cabernet franc and 6% petit verdot. Drink or hold."        - James Suckling - Tasted: June 2026

"Very pure and precise, this has great elegance on the medium-bodied palate. Still tightly wound, but the intensity and refined chalky minerality in the tense, superlong finish are stunning. With aeration, a wonderfully subtle aroma of orange blossoms emerges. From a 0.25 hectare vineyard planted in the 1970's. From biodynamically grown grapes. Unfiltered and unfined. Drinkable now but best from 2026." – James Suckling
