Veeder boasts abundant aromas of blueberry pie, ink, violets, burning embers, and camphor. The staggeringly intense, provocatively complex aromatics are followed by a full-bodied wine with exquisite concentration as well as a stunningly pure texture. Ripe but fresh blackberries, dark minerals and sweet spices with a balsamic touch. Masses of tannins delivered in a chalky, tense form. Long and still quite youthful. Certainly ambitious and structural. Drink from 2025." * James Suckling - Tasted: Nov. 2024 "A brooding and chewy Ribera del Duero with coffee, baked black cherries and blackberries on the nose. Initially more fruit-driven than floral, notes of honeysuckle and spice soften into green apple and vanilla. The palate reveals lemon curd and ripe orange, with lively tension between supple stone fruit and bright acidity, supported by a billowy texture, subtle minerality, and a whisper of fresh-baked bread. The finish is bright and fresh, with apricot and orange marmalade accented by toasted almond and clove. *Jonathan Christaldi - Tasted: March 2026

Uncompromising Grange. There are rich blackberries and plums on offer, together with brazen oak and abundant notes of blackcurrants, black cherries, charcoal, cola and hard brown spices. So fleshy and intense. Dark-chocolate and cocoa-powder aromas and flavors here, too. The tannins are polished and long, extruding deep into the finish and holding endlessly. Dark chocolate, black cherry, dark plum and more. Impressive. Brazen. One of the great Granges that will drink magnificently for decades to come." * James Suckling - Tasted: June 2022

Drinking Window: 2026 - 2065 Size: 750mL Critic Scores: 100 JL, 100 JA Region: Pomerol ABV: 14.9% "The last vintage produced by Pomerol legend, Denis Durantou, (who sadly passed away may 2020), is one of his best. A testament to his devotion to his vineyards, the wine explodes with a gorgeous set of aromatics packed with flowers, chocolate, truffle, plums, black cherries, and wet earth. But it is on the palate where the magic takes place. Incredibly concentrated, rich, ostentations, silky and vibrant, the wine offers incredible purity to the fruit, which is a good thing because the finish is not something you want to loose sight of, as its showy display of chocolate-tinged, dark red fruits, licorice, spice, and black cherries lingers builds and expands. Built to age and evolve, give it some time in the cellar and enjoy it for 3 decades with ease. This is exactly the type of wine Denis Durantou truly loved making, Owners of the beauty should toast him and his years of work at L'Eglise Clinet." * Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider - Tasted: March 2022

With elegance, power, firmness, and silkiness, the wine on the palate immediately cuts a wide swatch across your palate. All that regal, ripe, sweet, fruit and crushed gravel stick with you almost seamlessly for more than 50 seconds until you reach the endnote with salty, mineral-driven kick in the endnote.
